A journey to the computer museum which replicates a computer store from 1984, is a unique experience. You can only experience it in Helsinki at The Computer Museum of Kallio. You read that right: there is no such experience in Stockholm, London, Berlin, Rome, Tokyo, New York, or anywhere else. The 1984 computer store is only in Helsinki – at least for a little while longer!
At the functional computer museum Kallio, in recreational event can explore the colorful history of information technology in practice. Recreational events are private events.
But if you have ticket, you can use it also in public events.
The holder of the ticket can use it themselves or give it to someone else.

Minimum order amount 12 tickets.
Any unused tickets can be used for the monthly public events. Just show your recreational event ticket when you arrive at the museum. It valid three months from the day of ticket purchase.
Credit cards and mobile payments are welcome. Payments can be done at the museum desk. Also Online ticket store payments are possible on request. You will receive a link to the ticket that is dedicated to your booking.
It depends on the amount of purchased tickets. The event lasts 2 hours by default (12-19 tickets). For larger groups, the duration of the event can be extended so that 10 additional tickets mean one additional hour. The maximum duration is 12 hours. (8:00am till 8:00pm).
For example, 20-29 tickets means a three-hour reservation.
A convenient way to start a recreational event is to send an inquiry to the museum. Once the date of the event has been agreed, you can pay for it either by invoice, online purchase, or payment card at the museum. The museum is easily accessible by bus and tram lines 1, 8 and 9. Get off at the stop Urheilutalo that locates on Helsinginkatu. The museum is just about 4 minutes walking away. Free parking during weekends.

The I love 8-bit® computer exhibition, produced by TheFunctional Computer Museum of Kallio, has been touring Finland since 2022. It has been seen by over 30,000 visitors and has been on display in 33 different locations, starting with the Museum of Technology. The show is available at The Computer Museum of Kallio. The best way to get there is by tram, getting off about 100 meters away at the Urheilutalo stop on Helsinginkatu.

The Computer Museum of Kallio is independent museun and does not receive public funding. The museum was open to the public for the first time on 14th December 2024.
The mission of The Computer Museum of Kallio is to transfer knowledge, experiences and enthusiasm for traditional computing experiences in a practical way. There is always something new to feel and explore. The mission includes not only computers but also phenomena of the era, such as books, games, magazines, computer music, demos and a small club room. You don't have to be a geek to understand the cool things that were part of the culture of the time. But maybe you will be after visiting The Computer Museum of Kallio?
The premises are approximately 52m2 and can accommodate approximately 30 people at a time. There are 25 seats. There is a customer toilet that can be used by first asking permission from the staff. The exhibition setup is renewed monthly so that as many devices as possible can be used by the public. The premises are not completely accessible for disable persons, but we support efforts to get into the museum.
The museum is build by the individuals and Finnish innovation company Hankiworks Ltd. The museum and the I love 8-bit exhibition has been made possible by long-standing computer enthusiasts and professionals from Finland. This makes everything easy and agile way to provide the museum showroom services almost all over the world on demand. Don't hesitate to ask offer how to build own showroom to your site.
