The Computer Museum of Kallio is build like computer stores in 1984. Computer stores in the 1970s and 1980s were fascinating places for anyone interested in the subject! the museum preserves these traditions and brings those experiences back to the present day. The museum can accommodate 30 people at a time. Larger groups can be divided into smaller ones so that everyone can participate in the event. Arrangements can be made with the museum attendant.

Are the recreational days private events?

Recreation days booked in advance are private events.

Are the tickets for the recreational day non-transferable?

The holder of an unused group ticket reserved for a recreational day may use the ticket themselves or give it to someone else. This means that group tickets reserved for a recreational day are completely flexible and can be used at a time that best suits you, in accordance with the museum’s schedule.

Costs (valid since 1st March 2026)

You can book recreational events at The Computer Museum of Kallio by purchasing group tickets. The cost of a group ticket depends on the number of tickets ordered. Larger orders are more affordable and offer greater flexibility. Since not everyone can always attend the event, unused group tickets can be used for public events at the museum.

Larger bookings can also be spread out over several days. For just a little money, you can easily enjoy amazing experiences—even for a large group! Computer Store 1984

You probably remember the Commodore, the Spectrum, and maybe the Amiga, but do you still remember the Atari and the Amstrad Gray? If you don’t, that’s okay! The I love 8-bit® computer exhibition, produced by the Kallio Interactive Computer Museum, has been touring Finland since 2022. The Computer Museum of Kallio has a good and convenient location. 

The best way to get there is by tram, getting off about 100 meters away at the Urheilutalo stop on Helsinginkatu.

Kallion tietokonemuseon TYKY-päivänä on tiedossa aitoa iloa työyhteisöön, sillä Kallion tietokonemuseo on toiminnallinen tietokonemuseo, perustettiin Helsingissä. Museon toiminta on mahdollista lahjoituksilla, pääsylipputuloilla sekä tilattavilla yksityistapahtumilla kuten TYKY-päivillä. 

The Computer Museum of Kallio is independent museun and does not receive public funding. The museum was open to the public for the first time on 14th December 2024.

The mission of The Computer Museum of Kallio is to transfer knowledge, experiences and enthusiasm for traditional computing experiences in a practical way. There is always something new to feel and explore. The mission includes not only computers but also phenomena of the era, such as books, games, magazines, computer music, demos and a small club room. You don't have to be a geek to understand the cool things that were part of the culture of the time. But maybe you will be after visiting The Computer Museum of Kallio?

The showroom 2025 at Helsinki

The premises are approximately 52m2 and can accommodate approximately 30 people at a time. There are 25 seats. There is a customer toilet that can be used by first asking permission from the staff. The exhibition setup is renewed monthly so that as many devices as possible can be used by the public. The premises are not completely accessible for disable persons, but we support efforts to get into the museum.

The museum and the I love 8-bit exhibition has been made possible by long-standing computer enthusiasts and professionals from Finland. At The Computer Museum of Kallio you can get rid of this kind of nasty things at least for awhile. Team Days are designed to bring the joy to the workplaces. At The Computer Museum of Kallio, fun is back in computing!

Team Days are recreational events at The Computer Museum of Kallio in Helsinki. The duration of a Team Day is two hours. You can get Team Day by ordering at least 12 Team Day tickets. If fewer than 12 people attend a Team Day, the remaining tickets can be used later for public events at The Computer Museum of Kallio.

The hilarious I love 8-bit® exhibition at The Computer Museum of Kallio offers fun and entertainment in a way that you can't get this anywhere else!

Is recreational day a private event?

Yes. The participant of the Team day will receive an admission ticket by email. If you can't come on the booked Team day, don't worry! You can use the ticket in public events.

How much is the cost?

18,50€ + VAT14% / person. The minimum ticket order quantity is 12 participants or more. If there are fewer than 12 people in Team Day, the remaining tickets can be used later in public exhibitions organized by The Computer Museum of Kallio.
